Bayreuther Börsenverein
In 2020, the Bayreuth Stock Exchange Association (Bayreuther Börsenverein e.V.) can look back on 23 years of successful history.
Founded in 1997 with the aim of connecting business and university education, the BBV quickly grew to become the largest non-political and independent student initiative in Bayreuth.
With over 250 members who actively help shape the policies of the Federal Association of Stock Exchange Associations at German
Universities e.V., the Bayreuth Stock Exchange Association has a strong foundation that puts together an informative and entertaining programme every year.
Every one to two weeks, the BBV invites students to seminars, workshops and lectures, which are organised and hosted on its own initiative.
With these events, we not only want to provide our members with a broad knowledge of finance, the stock market and investments. We also give other students and interested Bayreuth residents the opportunity to attend the lectures, workshops and seminars free of charge by specifically advertising the events at the university and in the regional press.
The programme is rounded off by excursions to companies, banks, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange Day and the ‘Invest’ trade fair in Stuttgart.
Of course, there is always the opportunity to take on an active voluntary role and thus become part of the BBV team.

Elefant Racing
Our dream begins every year in September: the project involving the development, manufacture and testing of an electric, autonomous racing car made of carbon fibre. Weighing 200 kg and
with 190 hp, it can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. Its sophisticated aerodynamics enable it to drive on the ceiling at a speed of 120 km/h. Extensive sensor systems allow our racing car to drive around the race track on its own without a driver in the shortest possible time.
The highlight of the season then follows in the summer months: entering the pit lane with
our own racing car on the most famous race tracks in the world, such as Silverstone or Hockenheim. Where Hamilton or Vettel usually celebrate their victories.
Functionally, we are divided into six sub-teams according to area of responsibility and decision-making authority.
Together as a TEAM, we are turning our initial dream into reality with an annual
sponsorship volume of just under €250,000. Even if you are not a technician,
you are welcome to join us with your passion, motivation and fascination. Regardless of
business or technical interests, workshops throughout the season give
all members the opportunity to get involved in individual areas and,
by taking on areas of responsibility and decision-making authority,
generate extensive learning processes and added value for themselves. Our 150 sponsors
and university members look forward to supporting you or even winning you over for themselves.
We want to improve. We want to learn. We want to have fun. We would love to have you join us!
Creating an electrifying and autonomous start-up – every year.

Junior Beratung Bayreuth
Advising renowned companies while still at university – who doesn't dream of that?
We, Junior Beratung Bayreuth (JBB), are the student consultancy at the University of Bayreuth. For more than 25 years, we have been giving students insights into everyday consulting work and enabling companies to get in touch with committed junior consultants. We are part of the Federal Association of German Student Consultancies (BDSU) and thus network throughout Germany. We also benefit from the close cooperation of our economic and scientific curators, which means that we are not only in contact with professors from a wide range of faculties, but also have excellent connections in the business world. In addition to a variety of exciting projects, workshops and internship opportunities, it is the various social events that make our association and us as a student consultancy so special.
Are you currently a student at the university and interested? Then visit our website

Law & Legal
Law&Legal is a student legal advice service with offices in Bayreuth, Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Heidelberg, Leipzig, Munich and Tübingen. We are a non-profit association and provide advice in cases where the ‘amount in dispute’ is too small to consult a conventional solicitor, or where the money for this is simply not available. Our target group includes students, asylum seekers, start-ups founded by students and non-profit associations.
We provide advice in most areas of law and offer a wide range of services. We provide our assistance exclusively free of charge – i.e. pro bono – and are neither commercial nor profit-oriented. Our advisors are advanced law students who enjoy their subject and are committed to voluntary work. We are guided by experienced solicitors in our case work.
Would you like to work for us as an advisor?
Volunteering as a consultant at Law&Legal Bayreuth offers you the unique opportunity to gain practical consulting experience while still at university and to apply the theoretical knowledge you have acquired so far to a real case. You can help your fellow students with free legal advice and train your legal thinking outside the usual channels of university learning. In addition, you will receive regular training from professors and solicitors in internal workshops on areas of law that are particularly relevant to consulting, which can also be beneficial for your later exam preparation.
Have we convinced you?
Then visit us at https://lawandlegal.de/standorte/bayreuth and send us your detailed application!
SPC

You can expect exciting tasks in market research, sports marketing and event marketing, as well as club work in one of our competence teams. We also benefit from the unique Spöko network, which offers you the opportunity to find exciting internships and jobs.
In addition to our close ties to our curators at the University of Bayreuth, we have leading companies such as
Red Bull, Under Armour and Asics as partners who bring us interesting projects. Project work with commercial enterprises is very well paid, giving you the opportunity to earn money alongside your studies. Not only will you gain practical experience, but you will also expand your network and acquire valuable skills through internal training courses.
In addition to their work, our 25 active members also attach great importance to club life. Whether it's a meal together or sporting activities, the focus is on doing things with other students to take your mind off the stress of university.

German language courses specifically for international students, academics, specialists and executives, prepare participants who wish to study for the TestDaF and DSH examinations, are a licensed test centre of the TestDaF Institute and a member of the Professional Association for German as a Foreign and Second Language (FaDaF).
Since November 2015, we have been organising intensive courses for refugees who are eligible to study and are also cooperation partners of the Otto Benecke Foundation, the DAAD, BAYHOST and BAYCHINA, as well as many universities. In addition, we offer intercultural training for teachers, students and corporate clients.
On behalf of the University of Bayreuth, the IIK Bayreuth organises the Summer University for Intercultural German Studies every August and welcomes around 200 students from around 40 countries here in Bayreuth. For four weeks, the campus becomes the centre of exchange for young people who want to study German and get to know other cultures.
During this time, the IIK team also grows and is supported by team assistants, interns and tutors. They all contribute to the success of the programme and are an important source of support. The same applies to the numerous helpers we recruit each year to assist with the organisation and logistics of the international guests' arrival and departure. Anyone who would like to volunteer for the summer university or beyond as a team assistant, intern or tutor for the IIK is welcome to contact us.

Apollo e.V. Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Projekte in Oekologie, Landwirtschaft und Landesentwicklung in Osteuropa
WHO WE ARE
The Working Group for Projects in Ecology, Agriculture and Rural Development in Eastern Europe (APOLLO e.V.) was founded in 1991 on the initiative of students and is active in Germany and Eastern Europe. Our goals are intensive cooperation with stakeholders in partner countries (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus) and mutual professional and intercultural exchange. The focus is on providing students of agriculture with sound, practice-oriented training.
In addition to ecological and social awareness, social and political responsibility also shape our work and are passed on to programme participants as they embark on their professional careers.
INTERNSHIP SUPERVISION
Every year, APOLLO e.V. invites 60 agricultural students from Russia to Germany for an agricultural internship. The interns are at their host farms – many of them in Upper Franconia – from the end of May to the end of September and take part in supra-regional seminars. They have contact persons in their region whom they can call if they have any questions or problems. As an intern supervisor, you fulfil this important function of direct and personal contact. You are assigned to individual interns and accompany them on a voluntary basis during their internship period.
Internship supervision is open to anyone interested and does not require any specific knowledge of agriculture.
If you would like to get involved with us, we look forward to hearing from you!
Here is a short video introducing ourselves. You can find more information about our association and opportunities to get actively involved on our website.
Der Ökologisch-Botanische Garten
The Ecological-Botanical Garden (ÖBG) is a facility belonging to the University of Bayreuth. Covering 16 hectares of open space and 6,000 m² of greenhouses, it allows visitors to discover plant life from all over the world. The ÖBG's mission is to support the University of Bayreuth in research and teaching and to serve the public for educational and recreational purposes.
Why a Friends of the Ecological-Botanical Garden?
Since its foundation in 1978, the ÖBG has developed into an important research and teaching institution at the University of Bayreuth. It is also a first-class educational and recreational facility for visitors. Today, more than ever, the ÖBG needs external support for its projects, especially for its public relations and educational work.
The primary goal of the Friends is to support the ÖBG ideologically and materially in fulfilling its diverse tasks and to promote its integration into the city and the region. The Friends want to bring together people who are interested in and committed to the Botanical Garden. Lectures, guided tours, and excursions are organised for its members in collaboration with the ÖBG.

We are a non-profit organisation. The purpose and goal of the organisation is to protect animals, abolish animal testing and enforce fundamental animal rights.
The association defends animals against economic and scientific abuse, genetic manipulation, cruelty and extermination. It demands procedural safeguards for animals' rights to life through independent state trusteeship agencies and through the powers of animal welfare associations to monitor and take legal action. In this context, the association provides education and information on the topics of environmental and climate protection and plant-based nutrition.
Every first Tuesday, we host an open get-together that anyone interested can attend. The location always changes so that we can spread the demand for plant-based dishes as widely as possible. Information about this can be found on our website or on Facebook.
Opportunities for involvement (active or passive):
- Influencing the public and political bodies in line with the association's objectives by distributing printed material, holding meetings and events, organising public demonstrations and communicating via the press, radio, television and other media.
- Enlisting the support of public figures for the association's objectives.
- Submitting petitions and making representations to authorities and legislative bodies.
- Promoting research, development and application of methods suitable for replacing animal testing

The Digital Start-up Centre (DGZ) at BF/M-Bayreuth
In addition to its numerous research projects, BF/M-Bayreuth is particularly active in promoting networking between science and industry. A special focus here is on the transfer between young start-ups and established companies.
As part of the networking and transfer project ‘Digital Start-up Centre Part II: Networking Activities (DGZ)’, BF/M-Bayreuth has been establishing a close-knit network of entrepreneurs, those interested in starting a business, established companies and institutions in Bayreuth since 2017. At the heart of the project are numerous events in various formats on a wide range of digital topics, with young companies in particular being given the opportunity to present the added value they offer in their respective fields to an audience of business practitioners, thereby enabling them to enter into profitable collaborations. The DGZ network now consists of 72 participants and can also draw on the BF/M network (>120 members). At the more than 120 events held to date, numerous start-ups have been able to present themselves (free of charge!) and exchange ideas with company representatives. CVJM Bayreuth
The CVJM Bayreuth e.V. is part of the worldwide CVJM movement with 120 national associations and over 65 million people reached (Christian Association of Young People). George Williams founded the first YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) in London in 1844. In 1855, an international conference in Paris adopted the Paris Basis, which remains the common foundation of the interdenominational YMCA work to this day (https://cvjm.de/ueber-uns/cvjm-ist/pariser-basis/).
In Bavaria, the work of the YMCA is closely linked to the Protestant Youth of the Bavarian Regional Church, which has historical reasons, among other things.
At the heart of club life at the Bayreuth YMCA are the individual groups in our own YMCA building. The age range includes kindergarten and school children, teenagers, young adults, families and senior citizens. In addition, there are numerous activities on offer in the form of joint church services, house groups, camping trips, choir work and sports. The groups are run entirely by volunteers. The volunteers are supported by our full-time staff member, who is financed solely by donations. The YMCA always welcomes innovative concepts and ideas for working with young people, which can be implemented here with a great deal of freedom. This greatly enriches and individualises the work of the Bayreuth YMCA and many other YMCAs in Germany.

Evangelische Allianz
As the Evangelical Alliance in Germany, we form a dynamic community united by our shared faith. Since 1846, we have been connecting Christians from different churches and communities, and we currently maintain contact with around 350 independent organisations and associations.
The Evangelical Alliance is also visible and actively present at the local level: in Bayreuth and Bamberg, but also in Kulmbach, Creußen and around a thousand other locations throughout Germany. We stand up for universal values such as human dignity, freedom of conscience and religion, marriage and family. We take a political stance on these issues – not in a party-political sense – and engage with civil society, getting involved in social issues and supporting minorities, foreigners and the socially disadvantaged. We are happy to talk about our faith and our Christian motivation in this context.
We are accredited by the German Bundestag (https://politik.ead.de). The political representative holds discussions with political leaders at both formal and informal levels. This is supplemented by statements on political challenges and values, as well as the provision of expertise on these issues. In addition, the aim is to raise and strengthen general awareness of social responsibility and political engagement. Workshops, seminars and lectures can be offered on these topics.
In the complex field of migration, we communicate a culture of welcome (www.amin-deutschland.de) and volunteer our time to provide outreach support and partnership-based friendship to those seeking protection.
With the GratisHilfe campaign (www.gratishilfe.org), we are creating a lasting impetus to practise concrete neighbourhood assistance individually and collectively and to exercise unconditional charity.

Commitment to sport
ASV Oberpreuschwitz
ASV Oberpreuschwitz e.V. was once just a football club in a small community on the outskirts of the city, facing stiff competition from clubs in Bayreuth and the surrounding area. The fact that the club has maintained its position and continued to develop over the decades is primarily due to its cohesion, camaraderie and conviviality. Today, the club has 419 members and offers football, tennis, gymnastics, hiking and theatre. In particular, we are also committed to promoting junior and women's football.
As the previous sports facilities (small changing rooms, clay court) no longer met requirements, two grass pitches with sprinkler systems, a small hard court, a spacious changing room area, a tennis court, a new water supply, the purchase of equipment for maintaining the sports facilities, garages for storing technical equipment, the installation of training lighting on the secondary pitch, the construction of a playground, and a solar system for hot water production with heating support, to mention just the essentials. In addition to funding from the city, federal and state governments, this was only made possible by a gigantic effort of over 34,000 volunteer hours, which speaks volumes for the cohesion within the club.
In the sporting arena, junior teams are active in all age groups, some of them in a youth development association. In the senior division, there is a first team that is very successful in the district league, as well as a second team that plays in the B league.
In 1999, a girls' section was established at our club, followed by the formation of a women's team in 2005. Both the junior girls and the women went on to achieve great success with numerous championships and promotions. In 2006, the U-17 team won the Bayernliga Nord, the highest division, with an 8-point lead over 1. FC Nürnberg. In the final against Bayern Munich, the dominant champions of the South group, they lost 0-2, but still became Bavarian runners-up.
As regular Upper Franconian champions, they went on to participate several times in the Bavarian Indoor Championships in all age groups, where they achieved several 2nd and 3rd places. Four players from our club made the leap to the women's 1st Bundesliga. Romina Kuffner was called up to the junior national team. Upper Franconian championships are won every year. Our girls' department is a well-established and recognised force in Upper Franconia and beyond.
Our junior teams are currently competing in all age groups. This makes us the only club in Bayreuth and the surrounding area that offers girls' football in all age groups.
Fostering camaraderie and conviviality is another essential part of our club life and will remain so in the future. For more than four decades, the teams, the gymnastics department and the entire club have been organising trips lasting several days, which are very popular and well received. In addition, numerous other events take place throughout the year, such as hikes, excursions, barbecues, music events, climbing parks, bowling and theatre performances, to name but a few.
Every year, we also host one of the largest football tournaments for junior boys and girls in the region. Over four days, more than 60 teams compete for trophies and medals. It is an experience not only for the young athletes, but also for the more than 2,000 visitors who enthusiastically support their young footballers.
The list of our activities can be expanded as desired. Next year, we will also be celebrating our 100th anniversary. The planning for this is already in full swing. With such a wide range of tasks, countless people are needed to ensure that everything runs smoothly (trainers, supervisors, planners, helpers with the maintenance of the sports facilities and at events, groundskeepers, etc.).
If anyone would like to support an experienced team of dedicated staff, if anyone would like to contribute new ideas and suggestions or point out new avenues, if anyone would like to help plan our 100th anniversary, they are very welcome to join us.
Our sports facility is located in the Oberpreuschwitz-Dörnhof district and is easily and conveniently accessible by public transport (line 307 Dörnhof Sportplatz). We are of course available at any time for further information or if you have any questions.

BBC Bayreuth
Brief introduction to BBC Bayreuth e. V.
BBC Bayreuth e. V. is the parent club of the professional basketball club medi Bayreuth. We are responsible for all youth development in Bayreuth basketball. Last season, we had 15 girls' and boys' teams in competition. We pursue two goals:
- As a recreational sports club, we want to offer a sporting home to all children and young people interested in basketball.
- We train performance-oriented young players to prepare them for the JBBL (U16) and NBBL (U19) youth teams of medi Bayreuth.
To achieve these goals: we want to get even the youngest children in nursery and primary schools excited about basketball in order to create a broad base with as many children as possible.
We always welcome volunteer support for running school clubs, our school tour and camps. We are also always in need of dedicated coaches for youth teams and, of course, referees.
Anyone interested in getting involved is welcome to contact our sports director Patrick Seidel (patrick.seidel@bbc-bayreuth.de).

TennisClub am Lerchenbühl Bayreuth e.V
Tennisclub Am Lerchenbühl Bayreuth e.V. (homepage: www.tcal.de)
The facility, which includes a clubhouse, indoor court, restaurant, 10 clay courts and tennis school, is located at Jakobstraße 85, 95447 Bayreuth.
What we are particularly proud of:
What is undoubtedly the quietest and, in our opinion, most beautiful tennis facility in Bayreuth.
The voluntary and family-like club management.
The outstanding youth work, which is also confirmed by the cooperation with the btv.
Our family-friendliness.
Members: approx. 350, 45% of whom are under 26 years of age (as of summer 2020).
Members decide for themselves whether they want to meet up with friends as hobby players and perhaps venture into competitive tennis, or whether they want to join an existing team.
We offer teams in almost all age groups, from women's 30 and men's 40 in the regional league to juniors and seniors in other leagues.
Particularly sport-oriented members are trained coaches, act as referees or organise tournaments.
Members always take care of the courts on a voluntary basis, mostly free of charge, and keep them in good condition. Some working hours are tax-free and exempt from social security contributions thanks to the volunteer allowance.
The cosy grounds of the TCAL also include the public restaurant ‘Zum Pokal’ and its terrace with a beer garden atmosphere.
Our club parties with tennis matches, live music and many culinary delicacies are legendary.
We constantly offer beginner courses and very affordable trial memberships.
New members and guests are very welcome.
